Obituary for James LeVel Young

Visitation 4:00pm-6:00pm Friday, January 22, 2016. Service Saturday at 12:00pm, wake at 11:00am at St. James The Armory. James LeVel Young, affectionately known as "Poptart", was the youngest child born to John and Juanita Walton. James was born April 18, 1978 in Toledo, Ohio. He was called home to be with the Lord on January 16, 2016 at the age of 37. James attended Save our Children, Saint Martin DePorres and Start High school. James received Christ at an early age and was baptized at Bethlehem Baptist. He worked as a CNC operator at Precision Steel. He loved making people laugh and celebrating the gift of life with his friends and family. James leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Sheila Young; two beloved sons, Davon and Tyrell; his side kick daughter, "Big Dawg" Reese; his adoring grandson, John Jay; parents, John and Juanita Young; brother, John (Tianna) Young III, three sisters, Linda Walton, Tasha (Clifford) Wellington and Shonese Potete; grandmother, Ruthie Mae Young; many loving aunts & uncles; six nieces, four nephews, a host of very special cousins and many other relatives and friends, and four very special friends, Anthony Smith, Charles Jones Jr, Lavelle Bond and Patricia Pinnix; and a very special sister friend, Barbra Jones.
