LMinister Lydia B. Norrils, a longtime resident of Toledo, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on October 29, 2016.
Born in Tupelo, Mississippi on March 9, 1931, Lydia was the youngest daughter to Ozell and Emmie Dornell. During her earlier years, she moved to Toledo, where she became an occupational nurse. Her hobbies included cooking, gardening, ministering and worshipping the Lord. Lydia enjoyed raising her children and always welcoming family and friends into her home with open arms.
Lydia was preceded in death by her parents Ozell and Emmie Dornell, sisters Rebecca and Maggie, sons Darnell and Luther and her eldest daughter Florene. She leaves to cherish her memory children Roy Johnson, Addie (Maurice) Fields, Lora Vell (Ronnie) Blanton, Ann (Keith) Johnson, Eddie (Willa) Norrils, step children Michael (Darlene) Lane, Leslie Rodgers, Brenda (Osceola) Russell,Lynn Johnson, Robert (Jackie) Johnson, Beth (David) Brooks, Mark (Jameelah) Johnson and a host of over 100 grandchildren and great grandchildren with her newest addition 3 week-old Michael Timothy Alston.
Special appreciation to her care team Liz Jones, Lolita McCall, CareLink of Ohio, Loving Hands, Area Office of Aging, Victoria Allen, Laurels Nursing Home and last but not least Havilland Johnson, granddaughter.
