Obituary for Charles Edward Myers

Charles Edward  Myers
Charles Edward Myers, age 75, of Toledo, Ohio passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 in the Regency Hospital, Toledo, Ohio. He was surrounded by his family at the time of his death after a courageous battle of many illnesses. Charles was born February 7, 1942 in Autauga County Alabama, to Mr. Frank Sr. and Mrs.
Vastie Myers. He graduated from North Highland H.S. in 1960 and joined the USA Air Force in 1962.

He served our country thirty-one years and was one of the 1% of all enlisted Airpersons in the Air Force to reach the esteemed rank of Chief Master Sergeant (CMSGT) (E9). Charles was a member of the First Church of God Toledo, Ohio where he served on the Usher Board. He and his wife enjoyed traveling and time with family. CMSGT Myers was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Frank and wife Dorothy Lee- Myers (Charles and Dorothy had two sons).

Chief Master Sergeant Myers leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife of twenty years Laverne Myers and his six children; Charles T. Myers (Leona) Toledo, Ohio, Kelle B. Myers Seattle Washington, Breanna Kittleson (Cody) Sacramento California, Charlene Behlow (Kurt), Ann Arbor Michigan, Danielle Jackson (Charles) Williams, Raleigh North Carolina and Horace Jackson, Raleigh, North Carolina. He also leaves four brothers Thomas V. Myers, Coleman Myers (Mattie), Carl Myers and James Myers; three sisters Jean Hill, Elnora Howard and Helen Myers; 9 Grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The Family Hour is at 12:00pm Tuesday, March 14, 2017 followed by the Funeral Service at 1:00pm at the First Church of God at 3016 Collingwood Blvd. The Honorable Bishop Robert A. Culp officiating. Interment will be on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Great Lakes National (Military) Cemetery Holly Michigan. The Funeral Arrangements are in trusted to The House of Day Funeral Home, Toledo, Ohio.
