Carlos Juma Sr.
Carlos Juma Washington, Sr., 44, of Toledo, Ohio, died unexpectedly at home with family by his side, on Thursday, March 16, 2017. He was born October 6, 1972, in Toledo, Ohio, to Louetta Washington and C. J. (Elaine) Washington, who survive. He was a member of The Body of Christ Church. Carlos was a 1991 graduate of Rogers High School, and attended Western Kentucky Vocational School majoring in Radiography. He was a long-term employee of the Laborers' International Union of North America,
Laborers' Local 500, serving as a laborer, Business Agent, Job Coordinator for the Apprenticeship Program, and Vice President/Field Representative.
In addition to his parents, Carlos is survived by his wife, Dyonne (Meechie) Washington, son, Carlos Washington, Jr.; daughters, Rosaria Washington, Ashlie Hughes, and Jacqueline Neal; sister,
Sharonda (Chris) Mattox, of Columbus, Ohio; brother,
Jason (Lisa) Washington, and sister, Jacqueline Washington, both of Toledo; aunts, Gloria (James) Edwards, Barbara McGowan, Connie (Kirk) Tinsley, all of Lexington, Kentucky; Tommie
Frazier, Mildred (Stanley) Cornathan, and Annie
(Clarence) Cooper; uncles, Will Washington, and Charles (Sallie) Washington, all of Toledo; nieces, Amiyah and Taylor Mattox; nephew, Brady Washington; five grandchildren, and a host of other loving relatives and friends, with a special acknowledgment to Nataja Turner.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, from, 7-9 p.m. at The House of Day Funeral Home 2550 Nebraska Avenue, Toledo, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at First Church of God, 3016 Collingwood Blvd., Toledo, Ohio, on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
