Obituary for Will Arthur Washington, Sr.
Will A. Washington Sr. was born the first of eight children on November 16, 1927 to Otis & Charlena Griffin
Washington in Carrol County Mississippi. He departed this life on June 7, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 62 years Willie L. Washington. He moved to Toledo in 1955 and joined Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. He retired after 30 years from the American Bakeries Co. transportation department and of those 30 years 20 of them he spent working part time for A.J. Bureau of Investigations
where he was promoted to captain. He was Honorably discharged from the Army.
He is survived by; sons, Charles Glover and Will Washington, Jr.; 4 daughters,Jeanette Sanders, Carol
McCoy, Patricia Marshall and Gwen (James) Kizer; 2 brothers, Charles (Sallie), C.J. (Elaine) Washington; 2
sisters, Tommie Frazier and Annie (Clarence) Cooper; 1 god son, Willie McKinney Jr. and a host of other relatives
and friends.
Visitation Tuesday 7:00 to 9:00 pm at House of Day Funeral Home, funeral services are 11:00 am Wednesday,
June 14, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church.
