Obituary for McKinley Fowler

McKinley  Fowler
McKinley Fowler passed away on August 29, 2017 surrounded by his beloved family at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. McKinley, affectionately known as "Mack", was born in Scott, Mississippi on May 19, 1938 to Mr. Willie Fowler and Ms. Willie Mae Gray. He was educated by the Toledo Public School System. In 1962 he enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served four years. McKinley was employed at Haas Bakery after retiring from Ace Hardware. His favorite pastime was the sport of baseball. He also enjoyed reading The Toledo Blade and watching his favorite television shows. He often shared stories of his time served in the military with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Evelyn Mershon; father, Willie Fowler; mother, Willie Mae Gray; stepfather, James Williams; sister, Dorothy Allison; son, Ricky Mershon and daughter, Regina Sharpley.

He leaves to cherish his memory sons, Teryl Mershon, McKinley (Gloria) Mershon, LeDarrick Jones, Anthony (Jaunita) Mershon; loving daughters, Ronita Jones, Janice (Kevin) Staples; sisters, Maggie McCreary, Matilda Williams; brother, James Williams, 14 grandchildren and 11 great greandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
