Johnnie Diane  Smith-Nix
Johnnie Diane Smith-Nix, "Lady", age 50, was born on, April 27, 1967, to the union of, Johnny Bumpus and Diane M. Willis. "Lady" transcended peacefully from this life to eternal life on, Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Ridgewood Manor, in Maumee, Ohio, surrounded by family.

Johnnie was lovingly referred to as "Lady", she attended both Bowsher and Roger's High School. She was a Prayer Warrior, always offering prayer and words of wisdom to everyone with a loving smile on her face. "Lady" was always there to help anyone, if "Lady" had it, she would share it with your. "Lady" stayed positive, never spoke negatively. Once people met her, many people felt comfortable calling her mom. "Lady" was a mother figure too so many.

"Lady" accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Greater Bethlehem Temple, in Columbus, Ohio, for 12 years. After returning to Toledo, in 2010, she later joined Peace Tabernacle, under the leadership of Pastor Francine Brown, until her passing.

She was a devoted homemaker and a great cook. "Lady" would light up the room with her beautiful smile. Especially when someone mentioned the Lord. She married and later divorced Doug Smith and to that union, Cameron Smith was born. "Lady" later married, Hope LaMarr Nix, and to that union, Camry Kizer Nix was born. Cameron and Camry truly meant the world to "Lady".

She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Bumpus; stepfathers, Ronald B. Sparks and Lonnie Willis, Sr;

Lady leaves to cherish her memories, son, Cameron (Carrie) Smith; daughter, Camry Kizer Nix; mother, Diane M. Willis; brothers, Antonio (Cynthia) Bumpus, Sr., of Columbus, Ohio, Carnell (Alexii) Bumpus, Sr., DeRon M, Sparks; stepbrothers, Lonnie Willis, Jr., Terrence Willis; sisters, Tracy Morgan, Leighann Allen, Marquita Allen and Aletha Allen; stepsister, Shelly (Moses) Padgett, of Aiken, SC; cousins, Williams Parker, Jr., Chevelle Parker-Battle, Columbus, OH, Celisa (Phillip) Jackson, of Battle Creek, MI, and Ladon Coleman; grandchildren, Jai-Denn and Jai-Ceon; aunts, Barbara Parker and Delores (Quincy) Carter, Waterville, OH, and a host of family, special friends and bonus children,Tyrese Kennedy and so many more.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at 12:00 noon, preceded by an 11:00 am Wake, at The House of Day Funeral Service, Interment will be held at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
