Obituary for Roberta Files

Roberta  Files
Ms. Roberta Elain Files was the youngest of five children, born to the late Ruby and Willie Boyd on February 12, 1938 in Toledo, Ohio.

As a child Roberta gave her life to Jesus Christ at The Church of The Living God Pillar and Ground of Truth. She attended Libby High School: Home of the Cowboys. "Bert", as she was affectionately known, loved life and enjoyed hanging around and partying with with family and friends. She was also a big Dallas Cowboys fan. He favorite player was Troy Aikman. Through life, Roberta had her trials and tribulations but returned to Christ, going back to her church home. She was a very real, bold, and strong woman who will be truly missed by her family and friends.

Roberta is preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. Ruby Boyd Williams; father, Willie B. Boyd, Sr.; brothers, John, Willie B. and Tommy Boyd.

She leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Sharon Wright and Sheila Files; sons, Cleveland, Jr. (Denise), Jerome, Dwayne, Greg, and Elijah Files; brother, Joe Boyd; two sister-in-laws; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and family and friends.
