Earma Gene Algee passed away peacefully Monday April 30, 2018 at Hospice of NW Ohio.

She was born October 10, 1954 in Coahoma Mississippi to Leola and Willie Latson Sr. She moved to Toledo OH with her family when she was 4 years old. Earma attended Nathan Hale elementary school and went on to graduate from DeVilbiss High School. She later went on to receive her Associates degree from the University of Toledo. In her early years she loved to play softball and basketball.

Earma became employed with Toledo Head Start and Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities as a Community Inclusion trainer until retirement.

Earma was a wonderful woman that was loved. She will be missed and will always be immensely cherished. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren who knew her as “GiGi” were her heart and joy. She was an amazing mother and an awesome grandmother that was full of life. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, walking, dancing, and working in her yard. She was also an active member of the Eastern Star.

She had a heart for God. She served faithfully at St. Martin de Porres Church, where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society, Bereavement committee, and a Eucharistic Minister.

She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Juanita Algee; sons, John Algee IV (Kim) and Joshua Algee; step-daughter, Valquita Algee; grandchildren, Carmen, RaShawn, John, Joslynn, Jubilee and Kameron; great-grandchildren, Tyrone, Tyrese, Tyrell, Carmella and R.J.; sisters, Sallie Mae Helm (Leon), Mary L.
