Obituary for Delroy Chance Jr.

Delroy Chance Jr.
Delroy Sidney Chance, Jr. 25, was born in Toledo, OH May 27, 1992 the only son of Caroline E Roberts-Lewis. He departed this life April 29, 2018 due to injuries he sustained in an accident. while on vacation with his parents in Daytona Beach, FL. A most kind-hearted, loving young man, who was dedicating his life to coaching/mentoring young people. A respectful young man, that loved his family and he never met a stranger, neither young nor old. He graduated from Central Catholic H.S. in 2011, playing defensive line for four years. He attended Adrian College, Owens College and the University of Toledo majoring in Education/Kinesiology. A firm believer in his faith, the happiest young man you ever had the pleasure of knowing.
His love of sports influenced his career choices and he was employed as a coach at Woodward, Rogers and along with Northpointe Academy. A hard-working young man, he was employed at Finish Line for several years. Of all the jobs he had, he would have finally started his “dream job” coaching the D-line at his Alma Mater Central Catholic.
Delroy was on the board for Fourth and Goal, a non-profit organization promoting sports and fitness instructions to young up-coming athletes. He was truly the Pied Piper for “all youth” from all over Ohio and surrounding areas.
He is survived by his parents, Steven A. and Caroline E. Lewis, Grandmother Armon Roberts, Houston, TX, Halette Douglas, NYC. Siblings Christian and Tiffany Chance, Latoya, Steven Jr, and Leah Lewis, and the love of his life, Samantha Dulbs. Special Aunt, Deborah A. Belton, Houston, TX. Along with special Uncle Jim and a host of loving Uncles and Godfather Darris Mosley and Godmother Pamala “Nana” King. A host of nephews, nieces and cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his Father, Delroy S. Chance, Sr.
