Bernice M Hollie
Bernice Marguerite (Williamson) Hollie

Bernice Hollie was called to eternal rest on the morning of Tuesday, May 9, 2018, at Ridgewood Manor in Maumee, Ohio. Bernice was born on September 27, 1924 in Hawkinsville, GA, to Andrew and Ora (Barnes) Williamson.

Bernice came to Toledo, Ohio in 1942. She had a strong work ethic, working for Campbell's Soup, retiring in 1987. She continued to work until the age 82. She always had a sense of style. She was known for her blonde hair styles and stiletto heels, in which she continued to wear up to the age of 90. She joined Calvary Baptist Church and served in many capacities such as secretary, Board of Trustee, under Reverend Dotson. Although she never had children of her own, she was a mother to her brother, Archie, who came to live with her at age 12. She was a grandmother to her nieces and nephews. She was very opinionated, strong willed and always gave a word of advice.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Hollie; brothers, Norma Williamson, Andrew Williamson, Venus Williamson, Jone Williamson, Flinoy Williamson, Hollis Williamson, Al Williamson, and Archie Williamson; sister-in-laws, Cora Williamson, Coreen Williamson, Elouise Williamson and Verline Williamson.

Bernice loved her family, friends and church family. She leaves to cherish her sister, Mildred McKinnis; sister-in-laws, Patricia Williamson and Linda Williamson.
