Obituary for Willie Earl Clayborne III

Willie Earl Clayborne III
Willie Earl Clayborne, III, affectionately known as PJ by his family, and Jizzle, by his friends, was born to the union of Willie Earl Clayborne, II. and Temple O'Brien on August 14, 1987 at 5:55 p.m. Willie only weighed 4 lbs. and 14 oz. when he was born, but quickly gained a whole lot of weight in a matter of a few weeks, which is how he got the name PJ, which actually stands for Porky Jr.

PJ was a lot of fun to be around and was known to always qoute lines from movies as part of his everyday speech. PJ has always had a big heart and liked to help people.

PJ was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. He accepted Jesus Christ as his savior at an early age at Refuge Holy Tabernacle under the leadership of his godfather, Apostle John W. Mills. Willie became a member of Worship Center, formerly known as Upton United Methodist Church, in 1995 under the leadership of Bishop Patricia McKinstry. While under under the leadership of Bishop McKinstry, Willie was a part of the kids ministry, singing in the kids choir and ministered with the boys troop ministry as well.

As Willie grew older, he became part of the youth choir and the youth dance ministry, Teens In Triumph. Willie was also a drummer for the kids and youth choir. One of his favorite ministry dance songs was " Shackles" by Mary Mary. The first line of the song is " take the shackles off my feet so I can dance". Well there's nothing holding him down now. He is free to dance his dance.

Willie departed this life on June 14, 2018 at 7:16 a.m. at St. Vincent Hospital. Willie will live on in others because he was an organ and tissue donor for Community Tissue Services.

Willie was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, as well as his maternal grandfather, Robert H. Clark, Jr.; uncles Vertis Clark and Eric Clayborne; and aunt, Carol Lynn Suttler.

He leaves to cherish his memory: father, Willie (Robin) Clayborne, II; mother, Temple O'Brien, grandmother, Sylbena Clark; sister, LaKeesha (Jesse) Leonard of Columbus, Ohio; brother, Donte Clayborne; daughters, SkyLee Clayborne and Maryi Bryant; girlfriend, Rasheeda Hodrick and her two children, Keywonn and Ra-Niyah; nephews, Dezmond Futrell and Judah Leonard; godparents, Apostle John W. and First Lady Fannie Mills; god-daughter, Dymond Bolton; special friends, James and Jazz Wesley, Markus Reed, Jamarr Dread, Ron Montgomery, and Rauheem Wells, and a host of aunts, cousins, and friends.
