Obituary for Davida Louise Lindley
Davida Louise Lindley, “Vada” was born October 21, 1953 to the union of David and Ella McClain. She received her wings of transition to her final resting place Monday, August 13, 2018.
Davida was born in Toledo, Ohio and she attended Toledo Public Schools, graduating from Libbey High School in the 1970s. She was raised Baptist and accepted Christ in her life. She worked in several capacities after she retired from Flower Hospital in the 1990s.
Vada, as she was affectionately known, had a kind heart. She loved being with her friends and family and she enjoyed having a good time.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her children and grandchildren; and she was a dear sister.
Davida was preceded in death by her father, David McClain, mother and stepfather, Ella and Ben Martin, daughter Nicole, husband Andrew Lindley; brothers, Michael, Edward and Melvin and sister Ginnette.
She leaves to cherish beautiful memories of time together; her son Anthony McClain, daughter Donya McClain, Goddaughter Cindy Allen, brother, Leo (Shirley) McClain; sisters, Pierrette (Cornell) Talley and Vidette (Jack) Mabrey; grandchildren, DaWasha McClain; Lasha Riccardi; LaDacia Riccardi; Anthony McClain, Jr; Treasure McClain; DaNajia McClain; Lance Riccardi; Ja’Juan Riccardi; Dominique McClain; JaWanna Riccardi; Dai’Jeanna Jones and Keyana Modisett McClain; 7 great grand children, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
