Obituary for Laurnetta Goldsby (Bailey)

Laurnetta Goldsby, was born in Toledo, Ohio, March 29th, 1946, to the late Laurence and Edna Bailey.

Laurnetta attended Libbey high school. She often joked that while she was enrolled in Libbey, she spent so much time at Scott that she was an honorary Bulldog. After high school she married Eugene Goldsby. Laurnetta held several jobs over the years, most notably, the United States Postal Service and Libbey Glass Inc.

Laurnetta, affectionately known as "Little Bit," was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching basketball games. She was the 9th of 10 children, her siblings preceding her in death were James "Bud" Bailey, Eleanor Moore, Jean Clay, and John "Richard" Bailey. Laurnetta loved all of her siblings. She especially loved that they were the reason she was an Aunt, a title she loved and excelled at. The only title she loved more was "Mother" to her only child Carla Marie Bailey, who preceded her in death. The loss of Carla meant that Laurnetta had to lean heavily on her relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, whom she excepted at an early age for strength. She was a member of Mt. Sinai Pentecostal Church under the Pastorage of Bishop James A. Rayford Sr.

Laurnetta leaves to mourn her passing, Eugene Goldsby, her siblings: Virginia White, Catherine McCullough (Ronald), Mildred Bailey, Ralph Bailey and Raymond Bailey. Also mourning her passing are all of the nieces and nephews whom she poured love into, the entire "Bailey, Rucker, Johnson" family as well as her "family in love," the Rayfords, and a host of loving friends.
