Billy Joe Lawrence Sr. (Lighting) 53 departed this life on October 9, 2018. He was born to Oscar Lee Lawrence and Minnie Pearl Williams in Georgia. He moved to Toledo, Ohio.

He attended Scott High School. Billy was a very loving, kind and caring person. He would give you the shirt off of his back, but he wasn't meant to be played with. Billy enjoyed life. he loved his wife, children, grands, and great grand babies. He also loved his family and friends.

Billy worked at Honey Baked Ham and Electro Prime. He could also be a handyman; he liked helping out. Billy loved dogs and would train them. He loved music, singing, dancing, and hanging out with his loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his father, Oscar Lawrence; mother, Minnie Williams; and brother, Christopher Lawrence.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Ruth Lawrence; daughters, Kenyata (Charley) Ratliff, Imari (Fabain) Foster Nirisha Scott and Neisha Woods; sons, Billy Lawrence Jr., Eddie Scott, Eric Scott, Courtney Scott and Terrence Scott; 35 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; sisters, Linda, Donna, Diane, Joanna, Pankey Mary, Mildrew "Little Mama" Redd, and Bert; brothers, Arthur Lawrence, Oscar Lawrence and Charlie Ray Lawrence; a host of nieces, nephews, close family and friends.
