Milton  Koonce, Jr.
Milton Koonce, Jr. passed away peacefully at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, on Detroit Avenue, on Thursday,
July 21, 2016. He was born in Fort Barnwell, North Carolina, on April 25, 1948, to the late Milton and Thelma (Jones) Koonce, Sr. He was the second of five children. He and his family moved to Toledo and attended Toledo Public Schools.

Milton served in the Military where he was a Sharp Shooter in Korea. He was an Owner Operator Truck Driver for many years, until his health began to decline, He also worked for various trucking companies.

Milton was a very loving, caring and giving man. He never met a stranger, he loved cooking, watching boxing, traveling and spending time with his family, he was always the life of the party. He also loved going to church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Thelma Koonce, Sr., daughter, Daisy Brown, sister, Angelique Bradford, and grandson, DeShyren Koonce.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife, Angela Koonce; his loving children, Vonshea, Milton, III, Chauncy Koonce and Jovon Jones; stepchildren, Jamail (Kwanda) Plodzik, Janelle Lipkins, Janess (Billy) Strickland, Jovonte and Carmella Hill, Keny and Domoninique Tyree; sister, Sheronda Harris; brother, Montaque Koonce; mother-in-law, Bernice Walters; brother-in-law, Thomas (Wilma) Lipkins, Kim (Hilda) Lipkins; sister-in-law, Marcia (Johnathan) Lighten; 27 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
