Obituary for Gloria Jean Ransom (Wells)

Gloria Jean Ransom made her transition from earth to
heaven on June 17, 2017 at the University of Toledo Medical
Center. Gloria was born to the union of Archie and Mattie
(Suttles) Wells, on June 23 1942. She was the fifth of twelve
children. Gloria grew up on Irwin Rd., Swanton Ohio, along
with the Hobbs, Thomas, and Miller families. She graduated
from Irwin School.
She was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life,
Eddie B. Ransom (Mr. Clean), and they were happily married
for 55 1/2 years. To this union came Charlene Loriece
Ransom, and Gloria was Mom to Howard Burt, Carl Douglas
and Robbie Funchess. She later adopted Nakayla Wells.
Gloria was a devoted wife and mother.
Gloria met many loving friends while employed by the US
Postal Service for 28 years. She retired in 1998 due to health
reasons.
Gloria loved to travel with friends and family. Her favorite
color was "Blue" and she enjoyed arts and craft and planting
flowers. Gloria accepted Christ at a young age and she loved
the Lord. She was a long time member of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist
Church and recently become a member of the Church of the
Living God Pillar Foundation of the Truth, Holland Ohio,
Servant Jerome Brooks.
Gloria was preceded in death by both parents, Archie and
Mattie Wells, Sons, Carl Douglas and Howard Burt, Sisters,
Archie Mae Parker, Irene Marshall, and Geraldine Bouyer.
Brothers, Robert, Charles, and Clifford (Don) Wells.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 55
years Eddie B. Ransom and daughters, Charlene Ransom,
Robbie Funchess and Nakayla Wells, Sister, Joyce Williams,
Brothers, Ronnie, Mike, Raymond Wells, Brother-in-Laws,
David (Eula) Ransom, Theotis Ransom, Charles Bouyer,
Herman and John Eaton, Sister-in-Laws, Fannie Ransom,
Erma Hill, Larcenia Craig, Shirley Ransom and a host of
loving grandchildren, family and friends.
