Mr. James Michael Cooks Sr., 56, known as Mike, of Toledo, Ohio made his spiritual transition on Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Cleveland Clinic. Mike was born to the union of James Curley Cooks (deceased) and Helen Sumner Cooks. He graduated from St. Frances High School in 1979. Mike was a manager for Burger King, Wendy’s International and one of the co-founders of Club 300 Catering Inc. Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother.

Mike leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 22 years Linda; children, James Michael Jr. (fiancée Victoria) Joseph and Jenell; grandchildren Jonah, Jazyrah and Jordan; Mother, Dr. Helen Cooks; siblings, Michielle Butts, Myron, Melvin, and Dr. Hope (William) Bland and a host of aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Home going services are entrusted to the House of Day Funeral Services and will be held as follows: Visitation services: Friday, June 30, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services: Saturday, July 1, 2017, with the wake beginning at 10:30 a.m. and service at 11:30 a.m. All services will be held at Braden United Methodist Church, 4725 Dorr St., Toledo, OH 43615.
