Catharie Bell Taylor (Cathy) quietly joined her Savior on September 14, 2017 at 5:55 am, after a long illness. Born in Bruce, Mississippi, Cathy was a graduate of Woodward HighSchool, and spent many years as a nurse and caregiver. Cathyalso worked as the receptionist for WSPD Radio for many years. She retired from Cummings Zuckerin the late 1990’sto spend time pursuing her hobbies, such as doting on her 4 children, 11grandchildren,9great grandchildren, and the love of her life, her husband Charles Bernard Taylor.

Cathy relished a fulfilling retirement enjoying her family and serving her church, First Church of God. Cathy is survived by two sisters Alice Marie (Henry)Fisher and Hattie Ruth (Andrew) Quick; Children: Darrell (Marlene) Taylor, Pam (Derrick) Robinson, Arthur(Marna) Taylor, her daughter and constant companion Serena (David) Rayford,Grandchildren:David Rayford Jr., Anika McCants-Brown (Jason)Janessa Robinson (Daniel), Jason Rayford (Tiffany), Lauren Robinson, Christopher Rayford (Deborah), Ashley Taylor, Darrell Taylor Jr., Juliana Taylor, Jessica Spigner, Justin Spigner, and Great Grandchildren:Jalen, Skylar, Anaya, Ian, Rhyan, Phoenix,Jason Jr., Dominic and Dorian.

The family is truly grateful to Wilma Smith, Cathy’s lifelong friend since the age of 2, who has shared in the care of our mother as well as Kingston of Sylvania Memory Care Staff and Hospice of Northwestern Ohio for the personalized care and consideration given to our mother and family in her time of need.

A viewing and Family visitation will be held at House Of Day Funeral Service located at 2550 Nebraska Ave, Toledo Ohio 43607 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday September 18th 2017. A celebration of life will be held for Cathy at First Church of God; located at 3016 Collingwood Blvd. Toledo, Ohio 43610. The viewing will be held at 12:00 a.m. followed by the service at1: 00 p.m.on Tuesday September 19th2017. Her final resting place will be at Woodlawn Cerimetry immediately following the celebration of life.
