Obituary for Barbara Ann Barnes

Barbara Ann Barnes
Barbara Barnes transitioned this life on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Heartland of Oregon. She was born June 6, 1937 to Alma (Barbour) and James Taylor. She was the oldest of nine. The family migrated to Toledo in the early 1950s. She retired in 1997 after 27 years at Libbey Glass.

Barbara was a very loving person and had a very special way of bonding with all who knew her, often finding herself advising, guiding and mentoring young people in the neighborhood (Tambria, Kathe, Lucille, and Tanya). She greatly loved the arts and poetry and gave to her family a great appreciation for diverse music. She was a loving mother and a fantastic cook (the famous "yeast rolls").

She is survived by one sister, Thelma Spears; one brother, Albert C. Taylor; her five daughters, Donna Barnes, Pamela Carter, Laura Fowler (Charles), Renita Robinson, and Rachel Barnes, whom she lovingly called Angel; as well as five grandchildren, Lawrence Carr, Stacey Carr, Ray Robinson, Taylor Fowler, and Tyler Fowler.
