Ms. Kimberly (Kim) James Tatum
June 29,1961 - September 6, 2017
Ms. Kimberly James Tatum, was born on June 29,1961, to the union of James L. and Barbara J. (Merriweather) Tatum. She passed this life on, Wednesday September 6, 2017, at the age of 56. She was preceded in death by both parents. Her father affectionately called her "Baby."
Kim was baptized and confessed her faith in Christ at an early age in Toledo, Ohio, at Warren African Methodist Episcopal Church. After four years working on the school paper ("The Galaxy"), she graduated from Roy C. Start High School in June of 1979. Kim had a lifelong medical career starting at the Medical College of Ohio Hospital and ending at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center after eighteen years as a Lead PBX Operator.
Kim devoted her life to her family and life partner for 31 years Victor Preston. She was proud of her two grandsons and enjoyed going to their sporting events. When having the opportunity she had fun playing computer spades or games at the casino.
She leaves not to mourn, but to cherish her memory: two loving children Patrick R. (Cherice) Tatum, Victoria E. Tatum; two grandsons Patrick R. Tatum, Jr. and James P. Tatum; one brother Roderick D. Tatum and one sister Nancy J. Tatum; life partner Victor Preston and a host of other relatives and kind friends.
