Willie C. Jackson, Sr. “Billy”, was born in Moro, Arkansas on April 11, 1934 to Nathaniel and Mary Jane Jackson he was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Marvin, Heardy B, Cleophus and Alfonso Jackson as well as four sisters Ozie Lee Mayweather, Johnny Walker, Earline Jacobs “Tiny” and Ora Lee Irving.

He attended Springfield school in AK, left, came to Toledo, OH and continued his education at a trade school and further his education at Owens Technical school.

Willie confessed his hope in Christ at an early age, he attended, Pinewood Holiness Church, later went to Friendship Baptist Church, under Pastor Duane C. Tisdale and then joined Pinewood Tabernacle Church under the leadership of Bishop Dr. Arvell Garrett where he served as an usher, Bus driver and an armor bearer for Bishop Garrett.

Willie was joined in holy matrimony to Kathryn Dobbs on Aug. 8, 1970.

Willie was Very handy in all he did, wasn’t too much he couldn’t do. A Jack of all trades...plumbing, electrical, remodeling, and construction, a chef in his own right, you name it he could do it....He started his own business, WAMBA Construction Co. and he also worked for Boiler Makers local 85 as an arc welder.

Willie enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family friends. He loved to barbecue, swim, playing any games especially spades, fishing, boating and camping, he will be missed by so many and all those that knew him loved him!

Willie made his transition to eternal glory on the early morning of Friday, November 17, 2017 at his home in the loving company of his family.

Willie leaves to cherish his memory: His wife of 47 years, Kathryn Jackson, two daughters and two sons, Vanessa Jackson and Marketa (Larry) Mack, Minister Willie C. (Beverly) Jackson, Jr., Michael (Celeste) Jackson, sisters, Bobbie (Douglas) Johnson, Mabel Jean Jones, Charlene (Johnny) Garrett, brothers, Theodore (Laverne) Washington, Lavern Rogers, Jonathan (Paulette) Jackson; 20 grand children, 36 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grand children and a host of
loving nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 24, 2017, from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm, at The House of Day Funeral Service.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 11:00 am, preceded by 10:00 am Wake, at Friendship Baptist Church, 5301 Nebraska Avenue, Rev. Calvin Sweeney
