Douglas Fairbanks  Johnson
Douglas F. Johnson was born on November 7, 1932 To Rosie Lee Ervin and Charley Johnson in Greenwood,
Mississippi. Douglas went to be with Lord on March 22, 2018: at the University of Toledo Medical Center. He
was preceded in death by both parents, three sons, two sisters and three brothers.
Douglas moved to Toledo, Ohio in the mid 60's. He was united in holy matrimony on May23,1986 to Bobbie N.
Jones and to this union no children was born. Douglas worked at Champion Spark Plug as a Machine Operator for 30+ years; retired in 1997. In his free time He loved traveling, working on cars and his garden. During his many years in Toledo, he was a faithful member Of Pinewood Tabernacle under the leadership of Bishop
Arvell Garrett and now Pastor Calvin Sweeney . Douglas enjoyed chauffeuring Bishop Garrett to different cities
to preach. If he needed to be picked up from or taken to the Airport he did that too.. He leaves to cherish his memories, wife Bobbie Johnson, three sons; Fred, Carl, and Rick Johnson; four daughters Annie (Freddie) Smith, Patricia Johnson, Mattie Mae Gates Santoria (Ray) Johnson and nine Step Children four brothers: Willie (Gloria) Ervin of Gary, IN, Freddie (Andreas) Ervin of Garland, TX. Evan Ervin of Toledo,OH and Rodney (Renee) Ervin of Matteson, II. seven sisters: Sarah (Mike) Dukes and Margaret Ervin of Chicago, II. Channie Davies, Thelma Williams and Doris Ervin of Detroit, Ml. and Geneva Edwards and Dorthy Ervin of Toledo, Ohio. A host of grandchildren and great grand
children, great-great grand children, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends that will greatly miss you.
