Obituary for Lucille B. Johnson

Lucille V. Johnson, 87, was granted her angel wings on December 5. 2017. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that she had touched in a wonderful way throughout her memorable life. Those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her gentle smile brought so much joy to our family. Willa Mae gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life. She loved her Cousins, and many friends, . She enjoyed gambling and watching the Toledo Mud Hens.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving Husband, Walter Johnson and loving Daughter Debbie Johnson. Lucille was the great Niece of the Great Jazz Legend Pianist Art Tatum. Lucille left in memory Her Cousin Lolita Armstrong, Mississippi, Best friends Virgie and Nigel.

Funeral Services will be held at House of Day Funeral Home December 16, 2017 at 8:00 am. 2550 Nebraska Ave, Toledo, OH 43607
Lucille was an LPN at Mercy Hospital, and graduated from Mary Mans College. Lucilles Internment will be at Forest Cemetary.
