Lula B.  Freelove (Riggins)
Lula B. Freelove was born January 7, 1932 to James Riggins and Connie Bell Mims-Riggins in Cordele, Georgia. She attended Valdosta and Cincinnati Public Schools.

Lula married Charles J. Freelove, Sr. in 1952. As a military wife, Lula and Charles lived in various states and countries. To this union, six children were born. After finally settling in Toledo, Ohio, Lula worked for General Motoars Powertrain. She retired after 25 years.

Lula gave her life to Chirst at an early age. She had a special love for the gospel. She loved christian music, television and bowling.

Lula was called home on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio with her granddaughter, Jasmine, by her side.

She was preceded in death by both parents, one son, Israel, special sister, Janie Townsend and several siblings, and former husband, Charles Freelove, Sr.

Lula is survived by daughters, Mary Helen Dixon; Sandra K. and Carla D. Freelove; sons, Charles Jr. and Michael Freelove; granddaughters, Michelle (Andre) Seales, Jamie and Jasmine Freelove; great grandchildren, Haidyn, Michala, Breya, Jarod, Ja'mai, Jayla, Jayvon, and several siblings. She also leaves longtime friends, Ms. Alberta Wright and Ms. Arnetta Smith, along with sister-in-law, Shirley Tucker.
