Rita Louise McCulley was born to Emma L. Knight on April 26, 1952. She made the transition to her final resting place Friday February 23, 2018.

Rita was born in Atlanta, GA making homes in Cleveland, Oh, Atlanta, GA and Toledo, Ohio.

As Rita would tell you she was baptized with the Holy Spirit and filled with his Holy Ghost. She was never ashamed to tell anyone her testimony and gladly shared all that God had done for her.

Rita belonged to various churches over the years namely Rose of Sharon Holy Church, Redeeming Temple, and Corinth Missionary Baptist. Rita did not let anything prevent her from attending a church service if she was not able to go out on her own she attended services in the nursing facility. When she found out that Lewis Avenue Church provided transportation from the nursing facility she attended service there. Even a visit to share communion with Rita would turn into a praise and worship service including singing and a mini sermon.

Rita was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and most importantly a child of God leaving a host of those who loved her to celebrate her life.

Rita was preceded in death by her mother Emma Knight, Father Hampton Knight, Sister Ginnette McClain, and Brother in Law Robert Teagle

She leaves to cherish beautiful memories; her Sisters: Brenda Teagle, Linda (Tony) Heckard, and her very special baby brother Allen McCulley. Nieces; Linda Betts, Kimyetta Betts, Marquisa Darden, Latoneya McClain, Kimora Knight. Nephews, William Betts, Tyron McCulley
