Obituary for Sandra H. Scott

Sandra H.  Scott
Sandra Heloise Scott was born on July 3, 1946 in Fairmont, West Virginia to Bernice Wright and George Morman.

Sandra was a 1964 graduate of Jesup W. Scott High School. She attended The University of Toledo where she studied Biology while working at Pathology Laboratories.

In 1973 she received her dream job offer from National Health Laboratories in Alexandria, Virginia as a cytotechnologist. Sandra quickly advanced in her field, as she was promoted to Supervisor of the Cancer Research Department, while residing in Washington, D.C. She worked in this field for 11 years before becoming disabled.

Sandra enjoyed selling Avon, working on jigsaw and crossword puzzles, but she most enjoyed reading detective and crime fiction, averaging three to four novels weekly.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father; uncle, Augustus Walter Wright; and best friend, Rev. Sharon Taylor Reid.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Camille ans Dennis Harris; two grandsons, William White and Vaughn Harris; one sister, Marsha Howard of Cleveland, Ohio; two nieces, one nephew and a host of friends.
