Obituary for Margo Rose Grier

Margo Rose  Grier
On June 24, 2018, Margo Rose Grier, 79, departed this life in Sylvania, Ohio. She was born August 28th to Earline and Melrose Stubblefield, in Toledo, Ohio.

Margo attended Toledo Public Schools and graduated from Scott High School. Margo worked in a diverse array of businesses in the Toledo area including Department of Youth Services- Maumee Youth Center and Toledo Hospital.

Margo raised her four children Raymond, Kim, Tanya and Justin.

Margo was a loyal and devoted member of Indiana Avenue Missionary Baptist Church and the Indiana Mass Choir. Margo enjoyed just sitting on her front porch with her two dogs, King and Colby, watching the neighborhood.

Lovingly known as Mom, Nana, Granny or Ms. Margo, she loved her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews dearly and will be missed by us all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melrose and Earline Stubblefield; her son, Raymond Grier; grandparents, Layfette and Gertrude Harding; sisters, Barbara, Claudette, Marilyn and Phyllis Harding.

Margo leaves to mourn her passing, her children, Kim Norwood (LaMarr), Tanya (Billy) Grier, and Justin (Ivy) Grier of Toledo, Marguerite (Calvin) Wallace of Pittsburg, CA. her sisters Jimmie Lou Tyler (Baltimore, MD)and Dr. Saundra (Benny) Mickles; devoted granddaughters, Taushema Jackson and Tela Mays and her host of loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her goddaughter, Karmen Johnson of Toledo.

Our Heartfelt Thanks

The family of Margo Grier wishes to thank everyone for their many acts of kindness, love and concern. We would also like to thank Kingston Residence of Sylvania and Kingston Care Center of Sylvania, social workers, nurses, aides, physical and occupational therapists, and House of Day Funeral Home for the care, compassion and concern shown to our mother at a time she most needed it.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 2, 2018, at 7:00pm, preceded by a 6:00pm Wake, at Indiana Ave. MBC, 640 Indiana Ave.
