Condolences

Condolence From: Gregory Gentry
Condolence: As a voice from the 300 block of Woodland, receive my condolences for the passing of your matriarch, Ms. Josephine. I remember well the friendship she and my mother Annie Pearl Gentry shared while we were neighbors and attended the same schools. I never think of my childhood without remembering the Yowpp family. Over the years I have tried to honor my parent's relationships by acknowledging their friends in their lives and at the times of transition to the best of my ability. On several occasions when in Toledo I made attempts to visit your mother, to extend my greetings, but as always she was on the move and not at home. I was extremely hurt by the news of her passing as she was the last adult link to the early years. I am unable to attend her services and offer my condolences to you personally, but please accept them electronically and in the spirit as I pray God’s peace for you all at this time. Gregory Gentry (327 Woodland)

Condolence From: Norman Jay
Condolence: My heartfelt condolences to my family during this difficult and sorrowful time. The loss of Aunt Joe's physical presence will take some getting use to although she will continually by in our hearts and thoughts. She was to me, for nearly all my life, and countless others a constant source of encouragement, entertainment and corrective discipline. It saddens me to know my next visit to Toledo "Aunt Josie" won't be at 2459! May God Bless and keep us! Norman Jay, Anchorage, Alaska

Condolence From: Richard & Patricia Kynard
Condolence: To the Yowpp Family you are in our thoughts and prayers just hold on to Gods unchanging hands. A moment passed an hour, a day, but still the pain don't go away. A week, a month, and then a year, yet the loneliness didn't disappear. Your mom fought the good fight and she is no longer in pain but enjoying Gods mansions of many rooms. I pray that all the beautiful memories you had with your mom will keep you going and trust God to get you through. We love you

Condolence From: Vickie Hill Thompson
Condolence: To Vicki, all the other sibling, and other family members. There are no words to express the love I have for your mother. All of you know how she was in any neighborhood she lived in, but to me Lawrence Avenue will always be the biggest one in my heart, because I moved over there and got to see her again after many years. She even had me join the Democratic Business and Professional and Perry Burroughs Democratic Women Clubs. She fought for and with me anytime she felt I had been wronged. I as well as all of you WILL SEE HER AGAIN. LOVE YOU ALL Vickie, Cleopatria, Anthony, April, Calvin Jr., and Lashonda
