Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Sallie Allison can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Sallie B Allison

Mother Sallie Allison, was born on September 2, 1927, to Arthur and Beatrice Williams in Waterville, Mississippi.

Mother Allison came to Toledo, Ohio, in 1971, and was employed at Ashland Avenue Nursing Home, for over 30 years, as their Head Cook.

She confessed her belief in Christ, at Indiana Avenue Baptist Church. She later moved to United Church of God in Christ, until her health started to decline. She had two favorite songs, "Jesus on the Main Line" and "When You Hear My Homegoing". She served on the usher board for over 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie, parents, brothers, Arthur Williams, Harder Williams, James Williams, L.C. Williams and Willie Williams; sisters, Beatrice Williams,, Mary Lee Cunning, Ella Mae Jones and Bertha Gaines.

She leaves to celebrate her homegoing and continue her legacy of living for Christ: her children, Larry (Martha), Charlie Jr. (Marguetta), Robert (Karlin), L.B., Willie, George, Elmore, Carl, Wilburt, Jimmie, Beatrice Sanders, Valerie Johnson, Charlie Mae Rucker, and Mary (Hillard) Grier; siblings, Ann McNeair, Frankie Mae Cooper, Frenchie Davis, Eleanor Hobbs, W.C. Williams ad J.C. Williams; 56 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 25 great great grandchildren and 15 great great great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, from 4:00pm - 6:00pm, at The House of Day Funeral Service.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at 11:00am, preceded by a 10:00am Wake at United Community Church, 1301 Broadway St., Toledo, Ohio 43609.
