Edward Lee Stoke Sr., 43, better known as Ed or Big Ed was born September 3, 1975 in Toledo, OH to Luerean Stokes and Edward McCoy. Edward passed away very unexpectedly on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Toledo Hospital.

Edward received his education from Nathan Hale Elementary, Jones middle School and Libbey High School.

Ed was pretty much a Jack of All Trades. He worked various jobs that allowed him to grow and develop life-long friendships along the way. He spent the last several years of his life as a building operator for local charter schools.

Ed was a very kind, loving and giving person that held immeasurable love for his children, family and friends. He was extremely dependable and always there for anyone that called upon him for various needs.

He was an avid Chicago Bears Fan and loved fishing.

Ed was preceded in death by his grandmother, Louise Stokes; grandfather, Ed McCoy Sr.; and aunt, Dorothy.

Left to cherish Ed's memories is his mother, Luerean Stokes; father, Ed McCoy; children, Edward Stokes Jr. (Giavanna), Essence Stokes, Elijah Stokes, Ebony Stokes, and Emanuel Stokes; grandson, Aidan Stokes; sister, Lisa Stokes; special friend, Jovan Holmes; mother of his children, Estrelle Adams; parents of Estrelle, Mr. and Mrs. John Adams and their children
and a host of extended aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
