Obituary for Nicia Moseley Hill

On September 1, 2018 at 6:30 a.m. the Lord called our beloved and devoted mother Nicia T. Hill home to be with Him. She was born October 5, 1919 to the parents of Wiley and Annie Moseley of Oriental, NC.
She attended Pamileo Central School and Bayboro High School, of which she was valedictorian of her class upon graduation. She attended Elizabeth City State University and she taught school for 42 years.
During her youth she accepted Jesus as her personal Savior and Lord and joined Broad Creek Christian Church. She served faithfully there until she left the county to move with her daughter Veronica in Virginia and later to live with her son Seldon in Toledo, OH, but that same devotion to the Lord came to Ohio with her, and she become A Mother of the Church at Mt. Nebo.
On November 3, 1945 she married Grant Hill. They had two children, Seldon and Veronica Hill. They were married for 49 years.
Grant passed in 1994. Our parents were a very loving and devoted unit, first to God, then to family, friends, and the community.
Nicia leaves to cherish her memory one son, Seldon; one daughter, Veronica; four grand kids, Seldon II (deceased), LaTeia, Tonya Davis, Tracey Galloway; seven great grand kids, Eric, London, and Linden Hill, Braelon, Whitney, Michael, and India; two great great grand kids, Haden and Antwain; one daughter-in-law, Ruby Hill; a host of nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, and friends. She has two very special cousins, Mac Hunter of Maryland and Mrs. E. Hamilton of North Carolina.
