Obituary for James Larry Wright

James Larry Wright, born to the union of Allen and Nettie Mae Wright on April 4, 1952, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018 surrounded by his loving family, he was 66 years old.

James Larry went to Libbey High School and his last year of school he attended Waite High School. He loved watching and playing basketball. Everyone who knew him loved his personality, he was a good father to all his children and even to the ones that was not his own. He had a big heart and he helped lots of people. He wrote numerous of poems and one of his poems was published. James was well loved by all. He was also deeply love by Frances (Chick) aka his wife. James Larry, was a Vietnam War Veteran and he served his country in the 1970's as a Marine and received a Honorable Discharge.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, Allen and Nettie Mae, three sisters, Mary Katherine Armstrong, Pamela D. (Crunch) Wright, and Tammy W. Johns, one brother Timothy W. Wright, he leaves to cherish his memory Frances (Chick) Walker aka his wife, sisters, Dr. Mary (Johnny) Hawkins-Mitchell, Rita (Tony) Winfree, Alice (Michael) Bishop, Laurnetta (Ulysses) Brackette, Betty (Willie) Sanders, brothers, Joell, Allen, Jr. and Frank, sons James (Veta), Omar, Israel, Tommy, daughters, Tequilla (Danny) Neal, Cicely, Ariel and Tarvis, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The smile on James' face when he saw his family at our monthly luncheons will be miss immensely by all of us. It won't be the same without him. Please continue to pray for us.
