Geraldine Flowers 82 was born September 1, 1936 to the late Rufus and Mary Flowers in Cairo IL. The family moved back to Little Rock AR when she was 2yrs old. She later moved with her family in 1967 to Toledo, where she resided until her death. Geraldine passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 21, 2018 at Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek. Geraldine accepted Christ at a very young age and she was a member of Beulah Baptist church for over 35 years under the leadership of the late Rev. Fred McNeal. She later joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Wilson and she was an active member until her illness prevented her from attending. Geraldine loved to travel decorate, work in the garden and she was an excellent seamstress. Above all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both her parents, brother Rudolph Flowers (Phoenix AZ) sisters Louise Flowers (Detroit MI) Helen Flowers (Phoenix AZ) Daisy Thompson, Ernestine Flowers, Evalina McKenzie ( Little Rock AR) great grandson Harlem Jones. She leaves to cherish her loving memory daughters Mary (James) Noble, Daphney Flowers, Bridgette (Brian) Hunt, sons Marlon Trent Flowers, James (Linda) Flowers, Kevin Flowers. Her grandchildren Raquel Noble, Romell Noble, Marlon Flower Jr, Brittany Johnson, Bridjae Frieson Hunt, Brooke Hunt, Shardae Jones, Jacoby Flowers, Trinity Flowers, Kevin Flowers Jr, Kia Woodson, Nikkita Carter, Whitney Carter, Brittany Carter, Ashley Carter, Brandon Hunt Brian Hunt. She has 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Dear friend of over 50 years Mrs Rosalee of Detroit Ave. Special nephew Rickey Flowers.
Wake Services will be held at The House of Day Funeral Home Viewing on Wednesday September 26th 5pm-7pm Funeral Services Thursday September 27th Wake 10am and funeral following at 11am will be held at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church 833 Nesslewood Toledo OH. Rev Otis Jones, Officiant.
