Katie Wilson was born on December 23, 1937, to the late Willie Gaston and Georgeanna (Young) White, she departed this life on October 22, 2018, at Pristine Care Center at 1:20 pm.

Katie was first a member at Monument of Faith, in Chicago, Illinois, later she became a member of Southern Missionary Baptist Church, as "Mother Katie Wilson", until her illness.She loved the Lord, she always encouraged people, her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, George and Willie, sisters, Willete Pride and Georgia Ann, daughter, Deborah Wilson and son, Charles Wilson.

Katie leaves behind to cherish her memories; sons, Howard Wilson and Frank Wilson; daughter, Angela Wilson; sisters, Eleanor Welch and Willie Mae Pauling; grandchildren, Dammika Wilson, Fredrick Wilson, Chavon Wilson, Boeshaun Wilson, Lakya Bryant, Brian Wilson; great grandchildren, Angela Wilson, Assuey Wilson, Steven Green, Pierre Wilson and a host of other relatives and friends.
