Gary Kief Cooper was born on August 1, 1955 in Toledo, Ohio. His parents were Frank Cooper and Jenes Tripp Cooper. Gary was predeceased by both parents. He had been married to Jacqueline Cooper, the mother of his daughter.

Gary graduated from Libbey High School in 1973 in Toledo, Ohio and attended Bell and Howell, school of electronics in Columbus, Ohio for one year. He served in the United States Air Force, stationed in Japan, and was honorably discharged in May 1976. After military service he pursued a career tailoring under the instruction of his father, Frank Cooper. He worked with his father at Cooper's Tailoring, School of Tailoring in Detroit, Michigan in 1982. Gary returned to Toledo, Ohio and worked as a tailor at Adam's Cleaners and also had a modest clientele doing tailoring and alterations.

Gary was married to Jacqueline Gary Cooper in July 1981, and from that union had a daughter, Brittany Dane Cooper. He later married Rosemary Cooper in July 1996 and later divorced. Gary was very kind, loving, humorous, and an intelligent person. He loved the Lord and spent a portion of his life evangelizing and preaching as a Pastor for the Lord. His favorite food was hamburger and french fries. He never met a stranger. He enjoyed volunteering for the Veterans Administration and you would often see him out in front of Walmart or Meijers greeting people on behalf of the Vets for their military missions. He loved his family and he would attend family events including birthdays, graduations, reunions, etc.Gary also loved music and good movies. He loved his life and the people in it.

Gary departed this life on October 31, 2018 at his home. He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter, Brittany Dane Cooper; his beloved grandchildren, Ja'Den, Journee, Jordan, and Justin; his sister, Belinda J. Cooper, his brothers Duane E. Cooper, Wendell F. Cooper (LaVona); nieces, Charmaine, Briana, Christina Pearl; nephews, Darron and Damon; great-niece, Shayla; great-nephew, Shayne, and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.

Gary we were very blessed to have you in our lives, until we meet again, God bless you, now you can rest.
