Mr. Earl Sylvester Banks Jr. was born on June 24, 1949 to Mary Ann Banks and Earl S. Banks Sr., in Toledo, Ohio. He departed this life on November 20, 2018, at the age of 69.

Earl attended Scott High School and served many years in The United States Navy.

Intrigued by Ministry, at a very young age Earl received Christ at Greater St. Mary's Missionary Baptist Church until he fell ill.

Upon getting out of the service, he worked various factory jobs, Pinkleton Steel was his last.

Dressing daily sharper than any knife, Earl enjoyed shopping, music, riding his bike, taking long walks, football, wrestling, watching the History Channel, cops shows, prison, gang, and gangster documentaries. A very passionate and limitless artist, drawing was like breathing for him.

As a "Student of Life", Earl constantly stressed the importance of education, believing in self, showing love to others, and sharing his knowledge and wisdom. He was very family oriented.

Earl is preceded in death recently by, Yvonne Forrest "Vonnie" (the love of his life), his parents, Mary Ann Banks and Earl S. Banks, and brother, Lavelle Banks.

Earl leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Earl S. Banks III, Allen Forrest, Devon Banks; daughters, Jodie Jones, Lee Ann Banks; brothers, Michael, Wayne, Jermaine (Paris) Lamb; sisters, La'reea, Roslyn, Deborah Banks; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A sincere thank you to, the staff at Toledo Hospital and Hospice of Northwest Ohio, for their care and comfort.
