Ruby Ann Robbins, 55, passed from this life into eternal rest on November 28, 2018, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on October 17, 1963 to the union of Leroy and Louise Young in Lima, Ohio.

Ruby accepted Christ at an early age at New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church of Lima, Ohio under the leadership of Pastor C.M. Manley. In 2003, she became a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church of Toledo, Ohio under the leadership of Pastor Clifford L. Mayes. She served as President of the Usher Board and was an active member of the Kitchen Committee.

Ruby was a graduate of Lima Senior High School Class of 1982. She furthered her education at The University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Administration. After college, she went on to build a career at Harbor as a Case Manager.

By family, Ruby was known as “sweetie”, and her selfless personality proved that she was nothing less than that. She had a smile that could move mountains and a heart that was made of pure gold. She was a firm believer in God and was a devoted daughter, mother and friend. Her presence and laughter will be truly missed.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Leroy Young III and David Garner Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her parents, Leroy and Louise Young of Lima, Ohio; two children, her son, Gerry Robbins II and her daughter, Janelle Robbins; one grandson, Deron Jackson; her soul mate, James Fitch, all of Toledo, Ohio; three brothers, Stevie Young of California, David (Debra) Young of Fayetteville, GA, Michael (Pat) Young of Lima, OH; three sisters, Sylvia, Loretta and Carolyn, all of Kansas City, Missouri; two dear friends of 50 years, Marilyn (Clarence) McDuffie of Lima, Ohio and Sharon (Anthony) Thompson of Gadsden, Alabama; also a host of family and friends.
