Obituary for Marilyn Jean Jones

Marilyn Jean Jones, born January 24, 1950 in Toledo, Ohio to John and Nancy Tatum. She was the youngest of three and the only girl. Marilyn was a 1968 graduate from the former Edward Drummond Libbey High School. She worked for the United States post office for several years. She met and married her high school sweetheart Jeff Jones and, in that union, born two sons, Jeff and Mark Jones.Marilyn and Jeff remained friends. Later she met Mr. Richard Hughes and together they have two sons, NiKaya and Keyopp Jones. She confessed Christ at an early age and in the year of 2009, she was baptized at Worldwide Living Word Ministry, under the Leadership of Bishop Gerald Brown. Marilyn later reunited with her childhood church, The Church of the Living God and she rejoined as a member in 2017. Marilyn as she said and was a people’s person and she loved to have a good time with her friends and family. Marilyn is preceded in the passing of her parents, her two brothers, John Jackson and George Hendricks. She leaves behind her four sons, Jeff of Toledo, Ohio, Mark Jones of Atlanta, Georgia and NiKaya and Keyopp Jones both of Toledo, Ohio, 8 grandchildren, LaKeisha Jones, Jashara Jones, Jeff Jones Jr., Mark Jones Jr., Nalae Jones and Savannah Lockette. Special grand daughter Osha Jones of Houston, Texas, the pack her and Marilyn has- that they would say is- Nothing can come between us. 4 great- granchildren. Marilyn leaves behind her nieces and nephews along with many great and great great nieces and nephews. Special cousins, Dorothy Thomas, Larry Tatum, and a host of relatives and friends.
