Obituary for Renee Dix-Nelson
Renee Dix-Nelson, born on March 12, 1959, passed away on December 18, 2018 in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her loving family.
Renee was a 1977 graduate of Scott High School where she loved playing in the marching band. Renee will always be remembered for her infectious smile and laughter, and her everlasting love for her husband, children, and grandchildren. Renee belonged to Rossford Baptist Church, in Rossford, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Velma Dix, her brother Samuel Hicks Sr., and her sister Patricia McClorine.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Leonard Nelson; sons Michael (Nicole) Byrd, Anthony Nelson, LaShaun Nelson, LaVonte Nelson; daughters, Shalonda Byrd, Ashley Nelson, Gloria Nelson; sister, Teresa (Keith) Daugherty; and 20 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, 7-9pm, at The House of Day. Funeral services will begin Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 11:00am, at Union Grove Baptist Church, 3232 Nebraska Ave.
