Obituary for Janie A. Horn-Smith
Janie A. Horn-Smith, age 68, passed away December 20, 2018. Janie was born in Whatley, AL to Ora Dee and Uriah Horn on December 12, 1950.Janie, affectionately known as "China", dedicated her life to her family and close friends. In 2005, she retired after more than 30 years of service to Pilkington (LOF). She was a longtime member of Southern Missionary Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Artis Smith; father, Uriah, and niece Mickiah.
Janie leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Kendra and Tiandra; five grandchildren; parents, Nathaniel and Ora Dee Taylor; brothers, Uriah and Johnny Horn, and Kenny Taylor; sister, Wanda; one nephew, many nieces, and a host of cousins and close friends.
