Henry Hood Jr. age 61, peacefully passed away in the presence of family on Monday, January 7, 2019. Henry was born on September 1, 1957 to Henry Hood Sr. and Henrine (Cook) Hood. Henry attended Libbey High School and worked with the City of Toledo in the Streets, Bridges and Harbors Division. He also drove trucks for a period of time. Henry found pleasure in automobiles. He was very helpful in finding reliable cars at great prices for family. He enjoyed being out and about driving the city roads. He was always ready to hand out life lessons to those that were open to it. Henry also enjoyed spending time at the casino.

He is survived by his father, Henry Hood, Sr.; spouse, Jeanette Powell; son, Antuan Wynn; daughters, April (Vincente) Pope, Teaira (Gregory) Eaton-Curry, Lanquilla "Pumpkin" Powell; sisters all of Toledo, Barbara A. Myers, Harriet Moye, Drucilla JOhnson, Katrina Mitchell, Denise Martin; brothers both of Toledo, OH, Kenneth D. Johnson, Cedrick L. Hood; special daughter, Tanika Baiz R.N.; 15 Grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews; and good friends, James Grant and Tony Gregory.

Henry was preceded in death by his mother, Henrine (Cook) Hood and siblings, Gwendolyn Johnson, Brenda Johnson, and Wilber Bell.
