Obituary for James H. Self Jr.
James Henry Self Jr. was born July 30, 1962 in Toledo, Ohio to late James and Catherine Self. James worked at P&J Ind., ElectroPrime, and as an awesome mechanic. He was a member of St. Marks Baptist Church. James loved to play cards and dominoes and enjoyed working on cars. He loved kids and enjoyed taking walks with his grandchildren. In 1983 James received a President's Hero Award from Lucas County Safety Council.
James is preceded in death by both parents, James and Catherine; grandparents, Oscar and Hattie King; brothers, Carl, Terry, Jerry.
He is survived by wife, Doreatha Self; brothers, Lawerence, Pastor Louis Self/Charlene, Michael/Barbara, Kenneth, Timothy/Keysia, Samuel/Mariah; daughters Tina Gresham, Linda Mack/Kevin Smith, Vickie, Jean Bottley/Delesia Bottley, Michele Burel; a host of nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren, special granddaughter-Bryona; special great granddaughter De'Myia. Special friends Charles and J Will.
