Obituary for Deloris Pharr

Deloris Pharr was born on November 20, 1949 in Birmingham, Alabama to the proud parents James and Della Mae Foster. She passed away peacefully, at home on January 21, 2019. She attended Fairfield High School in Birmingham School District. After graduating, she moved to Cleveland, Ohio. Deloris joined Providence Baptist Church at an early age under the direction of Rev. Rodney Maiden. She moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1998, where she worked for various nursing agencies. Deloris had a loving, caring heart and loved her work. She also met the love of her life, Joseph Wells (Tank) in 1999. In 2001, Deloris and Tank moved to Toledo, where she joined Greater Harvest Missionary Church, under the direction of Pastor Clayborn E. Arnett Sr. She was a member of the choir for several years.

Deloris eventually became a member of Greater New Psalmist Church. She later became ill and wasn't able to attend, but truly loved her church family.Deloris was a loving "Auntie" to her nieces and nephews, special nephew, her "Duda", special nieces, Scherita Rodgers and Margerita Moore, her special baby sister, Regina Foster, her special friends, Elizabeth Rone-Wells and Cathy Arnett. Deloris loved to cook and was an avid fisherman. She was a baby magnet for all babies. She loved playing board games and just simply being around family. Deloris is preceded in death by her mother, Della Mae Foster; sisters, Glenda, Mitzi and Annette; and brother, James.

She leaves to cherish her memory: Joseph Wells; father, James Foster "Daddy"; sister, Regina Foster, step-son, Tony Welch (Melissa); granddaughters, Tamia and Malia Welch; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Deloris has gone to her heavenly home and now she can " Have a little talk with Jesus that makes it right"!
