Obituary for Kathy Betty Williams

Kathy Betty (Anderson) Williams of Toledo, Ohio went on to be with the Lord on February 2, 2019 due to illness in her home at the age of 65. She was born on January 15, 1954 in Dania, Florida (now Dania Beach) to Eddie Cornelius, Sr. and Mamie McPherson.

Kathy moved to Ohio in 1971 and finished HS at Devillbiss HS and would later attend Stautzenburger College and the University of Toledo to continue her education. She went on to work for the State of Ohio as a supervisor and later as a hospital aid/receiving clerk at NODC and Toledo Mental Health Center respectively. Kathy had to retire early due to a lower back injury while helping a patient out of the hospital during a fire. Kathy was a fun loving, kind, and very outgoing person. She loved music, singing, traveling, gardening, and spending time with her friends and family.

Kathy is survived by husband Lafayette Williams; 2 Sons, Brett Anderson (Dalphanie) and Andre L. Williams (Baendu); 11 Grandchildren, Kenton Anderson (Mariya), Antonia Draper (Den’nisha), Kayla Johnson (Turhan), Caitlyn Anderson-Reid (Norwayne), Brett Anderson, Jr., Tristan Anderson, AJ Williams, Elijah Williams, Miles Anderson, Alyson Williams, Myla Anderson and a host of great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a very close friend in Peter JH Jones.

She was preceded in death by her father Cornelius, mother Mamie, and brother Burnon Anderson. She is also survived by siblings Alice Anderson, Shirley Austin (Preston), Stevie Anderson (Jackie), and Craig McPherson (Venita), Dale (Arthur, deceased) and numerous family and friends. Kathy was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by everyone.
