Obituary for Samuel Fields Sr.
Samuel Fields Sr. was born July 3, 1955, to Lee Andrew Fields and Erma Anderson of Benton Harbor, Michigan. April 4, 2019, Sam's Earthly Journey ended and his Heavenly Journey began with our Father God.
Sam was a graduate of Benton Harbor High. He attended Carter Trade School Apprenticeship Program located in Toledo, Ohio. He worked at Nordmann Roofing Company for 30 years as a Journeyman. Prior to roofing, Sam also worked for the City of Toledo Refuse for 10 years.
Sam loved football and was a big fan of the Michigan Wolverines. His passion for music led him to his DJ work. Flea Markets and garage sales were always on his weekend agenda (collecting antiques). Sam loved his collection of ball caps.
Sam is preceded in death by his parents Erma Anderson, Lee Andrew Fields, brothers Michael, Scott and James Harris.
He leaves to cherish his memories daughter Sabrina Ann Fields, sons Samuel Fields Jr. (Cyrena), Samuel Fields lll, Joseph Fields, and Michael Fields. granddaughter Dariyonna, grandsons Devin, Shawnkel, Autavian, Keon, Baustyn, and Jayden, great granddaughter Aspen. Step children Gabriel and Solomon Taylor. Special Friend Everlean Logan. Sister May McDuffy, Mary Hayworth (Jerry), Octavia Fields, Vickie And Rita Harris, Bea (Joe) Collins ,Beverly Fields, bothers Andrew Fields(Beverly), Jaymar Harris (Shanile), Jeno Harris, Darrell Harris, Eddie Harris (Fantia) and a host of nieces nephews family and friends.
Sam was very well respected and loved by his family and many others. He will be truly missed.
