Obituary for Cameron L. Dale

Cameron LaQuintis Dale Sr., affectionately known by the names Squirt, Cam, Camo, and Dink, which he hated, was called home on May 15, 2019. He was born March 25, 1991 to Cynthia L. Valentine and Clifton Dale Sr., at St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. Cameron was the youngest of his four older siblings.

Raised in Toledo, Ohio, Cameron attended Toledo Public Schools. He was a faithful member of the Fredrick Douglas Center, where he and his siblings enjoyed after school activities such as baseball, flag football, basketball, and even tap-dancing with his sister, Quita. When he became a teenager he went to live with his dad in Albion, Michigan. There, Cameron learned how to fix cars and bowl, but most of all, he loved to ride motorcycles just like his dad. When he moved back to Toledo, he developed a passion for fishing and sitting on the banks with his mom and friends.

Cameron was a hard worker. He worked many jobs as a fork lift driver and a material handler, working side by side with his brother, Clifton Jr. Cameron worked at G.K.N. Logistics. He and his brother, Christian, played semi-pro football with the Toledo Thunder and the Toledo Knights for the past seven years, as their corner-back.

In his spare time, you could find Cameron riding on his "toys" on the open roads and fields with the love of his life, Kimberly. Kimberly was also the mother of his three children. He loved life and spending time with his family and friends. Cameron was always the life of the party. He never met a stranger. With his bright and beautiful eyes and handsome smile, he was able to win the heart of strangers.

Cameron accepted Christ at the age of 13 years old. He was baptized at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Clifford Mayes.

Cameron is preceded in death by his fiancé, Kimberly Byram; his brother, David Michael Dale; maternal grandmother, Olivia Hunter; aunts, Tammy Hunter Rayford and Annie Delores Lee.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Noah Byram, Araya Sunshine Dale and Cameron L. Dale Jr.; his mother, Cynthia Valentine Drane; his father, Clifton L. Dale Sr. (Gerri Hopcraft); god-mother, Angie Irons; his siblings, Clifton L. Dale Jr., Christian L. Dale, Chiquita L. Dale, Evada Dale, Jondeashia Dale, Alana Dale, and Morgan Dale; grandparents, Rev. James and Annie Valentine Jr., Ceola Harris, William Butch Richardson, and Ronella Moore; step siblings, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins from all around, and very dear friends in may places.
