Obituary for Velvet Lee Belle
Velvet Lee Belle, age 76, passed away on July 9, 2019, in her home, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on February 14, 1943, to the union of Leon and Essie Mae Johnson.
She was a native of Toledo, Ohio, where she lived all of her life. Velvet was united in holy matrimony with Frank Belle Jr. To their union, seven children were born.
Velvet was a loving and nurturing mother, wife and grandmother. She loved and adored her family. She enjoyed playing cards and cooking. She was an outgoing and intelligent woman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Belle Jr.
Left to cherish her memory is her seven children, Frank Belle III, Leon Belle, Terry Belle, Eve Belle, Ava Belle, Joy Wilson, and French Belle; 36 grandchildren; and 69 great-grandchildren.
We all have a list of loved ones we love and miss; they are not gone. They are above and still exist in a spiritual form. Velvet Belle will surely be missed, and through us she will always exist. She tops our lists; we gave her our last hugs and kisses. She went home leaving seven to go through those golden gates.
