Bom-Wrapper

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Erick Wiley can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Though I often wonder "why" you were called Home so soon, I find comfort in knowing you will no longer know pain, numerous medications, and other ailments you had to endure. Having lost my dad exactly 2 years ago,I know first hand the pain our son(Bralyn)is experiencing. Bralyn is much like you and,he is being strong. I remember discussing with Bralyn about joining the military after high school. Bralyn said to me "My Dad said I did not have to go to the military if I didn't want to. My dad said go to college and "make him proud" This conversation happened only months ago, who would have known this time was so near. As you already know, Bralyn is in college now pursuing his degree as you suggested. You rest easy as I will ensure Bralyn honors your wish by graduating college with his Computer Science Degree. Thank you for instilling great values in Bralyn and for all of the memories you created with him/for him. He told me days ago, during the past few months you always reminded him of the time years ago when he was younger, you and Jennifer took him to the beach in Detroit and he tried to wander all the way out in the water and you would tell him ("Come back man, daddy can't swim all the way out there".lol). In the last few months Bralyn said you reminded him of that story each time he spoke to you...memories... You rest well in Heaven as I will ensure Bralyn continues to "make you proud". Your wife,Jennifer, is a courageous woman and terrific mom to Derick. My prayers are with her and Derick as they continue on. Barbara,(Joe W.),James and Joe Jr. my prayers are with you also. Jennifer and I will ensure you sons keep in contact and carry on your legacy. Rest Up Now, Tasha
