Obituary for Robert Donald Williams

Robert Donald  Williams
Robert Donald "Doc" Williams was born on February 13,1943, in Lackawanna, New York. He
was the youngest of six children born to the union of, James and Metter Williams. He
passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2017.

He received his education in Lackawanna, New York prior to his service in the United
States Navy, where he received an honorable discharge. Robert moved to Toledo, Ohio
and married, Loretta Gant, from that union, he had a daughter Ramona D. Thompson of
Phoenix, Arizona He is currently married to Verna Williams, for whom he cared for until
his death.

He retired from the United States Post office with sixteen years of service. He previously
worked as a mechanic. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and tinkering with various technical
gadgets, but most of all, he loved fashion, which he proudly displayed. He was a faithful
member of, Friendship Baptist church under the leadership of Bishop Duane C. Tisdale.

Preceding him in death were his parents, stepson, Eric G. Casey, brothers, Alexander and Clarence Williams, and sisters, Ollie Peppers and Louise Williams

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Verna, his daughter, Ramona D.
Thompson., sister, Carolyn (William) Perkins, of Buffalo, New York. Other family
members consisted of step- daughter's, Fionne Wright, Erdine (Clarence) Jordan, of
Memphis TN, Jamesetta Mickens, Audrey Ellis and many step grandchildren, nephews,
nieces and a host of other relatives will miss him. His best friends were, Denny Barnes of
Buffalo, N Y and Derrick Williams.
